Functions of Real Estate Signage

Real estate signage is extremely important in any agents marketing efforts. Potential buyers often drive through neighborhoods they like to see if any houses have gone up for sale. Sign placement is key and there are many different functions that signage can play in your marketing efforts.

Here are a few:

Company and Agent Information

One of the most important things for people to know when looking at a house is who to contact if they are interested.

Make sure the name of company you work for is on the sign, but most importantly make sure your information stands out. Make sure you include the phone number you can be reached at and any other way they can contact you.

If there is a website that features the listing, you should include that on there.

For Sale or Rent?

Potential buyers/renters need to know if the house is for sale or rent. Make sure that message is clear. Most times realtors will use riders to swap out on the sign saying “FOR SALE” or “FOR RENT.”

You can also include this on the actual body sign.

Open House?

If you are hosting an open house, make sure people know! Put signs up everywhere letting people know. You can use corrugated yard signs, advertising flags, a-frame signs or any other sign that is easy to put up the day of the open house.

Where?

Direct people to your listing. This is extremely important when holding an open house, especially if it is deep in a neighborhood or off a main road. Put yard signs that direct people with arrows directly to the house.
